The Canyon by ECW Radio

Privacy Policy.

What the app receives, sends, and keeps.

Effective September 29, 2026 · Version 1.0, Build 5

Echo Canyon Works provides The Canyon by ECW Radio, a live streaming-radio listener app. This policy describes the app and its supporting services, as well as this website.

Listening and connection information

No account is required to listen. The app connects to our services to receive live audio, Now Playing information, artwork, station bulletins, and song-search results. These connections reveal your IP address and technical request information to the servers and network providers that deliver the service. This information may appear in operational or security logs. Song searches send the text you enter to our catalog service.

We use connection information to deliver the broadcast and app features, maintain service availability, investigate problems, and limit abusive requests. The Holler service uses source IP addresses for rate limiting.

Optional Holler messages and requests

When you choose to send a Holler, the app sends the request type, an optional name, an optional note, and any selected song and recording version. Each submission also has a randomly generated submission identifier. This identifies the submission, rather than acting as a permanent device identifier.

The station stores submitted messages and requests, their submission time, request identifiers, and their handling status and history. Station operators can review them to handle messages, feedback, and song or live requests. You can listen without sending a Holler. Do not include information you do not want station operators to receive.

Information on your device

After a successful Holler submission with a name, the app remembers that name on your device to fill in the form next time. Leaving the name blank does not erase a previously saved name. The app also keeps a small local record of recent metadata timing events, limited to 128 entries, for diagnostics. This timing record is not uploaded by the app. The operating system may cache downloaded audio, artwork, or network responses.

Permissions, analytics, and advertising

Build 5 does not include an advertising or third-party analytics SDK, request an advertising identifier, or implement cross-app tracking. It does not request access to your microphone, camera, contacts, photos, or device location. Audio playback, including background playback, does not record audio. The app does not require login or payment details.

Service providers and support

Hosting, network, and delivery providers process technical information needed to run the service. Information sent through Holler is available to authorized station operators. If you contact us and include an email address or other personal information, we receive that information with your message and use it to address your request. Support email is routed through Cloudflare Email Routing and received in a Gmail mailbox. Cloudflare and Google process the message and associated email information to deliver and store support correspondence. Support messages remain in our mailbox until deleted; no automatic deletion period is configured as part of this website. Apple may separately process App Store and device diagnostic information under its own policies and your device settings.

Retention and your choices

Holler submissions and their handling history are stored on the station’s service. The current service does not automatically expire them; marking a request handled or dismissed does not delete it. There is no in-app account or self-service server deletion feature. Operational logs and provider records are subject to the systems’ retention settings.

You can omit your name and note, choose not to send requests, and stop playback or close the app to stop listening. Deleting the app removes its app-local data from that installation; it does not remove messages already submitted to the station, and device backups may retain copies.

For questions or requests to access, correct, or delete information you submitted, email support@echocanyonworks.com. Include enough information to locate your submission, such as its approximate date and the name you used, plus a way to reply. We may need to verify the request before making changes.
